Well we started the year off on the right foot for us but Saturday was still a grind. We only caught three bass and they just happened to be the right ones. We started off in CFP and spent two hours casting, got bored of that and moved to a point near deep water and worked it with traps and crank baits. About 30 minutes into our second stop Chase yelled "NET, It's a big one".....after a decent fight in finally surfaced and I thought by the color is was a drum for a second, the fish was completely white. That was our big fish just over 7lbs and I told Chase if we could manage two more decent bites we could probably place well as tough as it's been. We spent the next 4 hours trying to get those two bites, last one came at 1:45 and we threw it in the live well and ran over to weigh in. All three fish were on either red or chartreuse traps in 2 to 6 foot of water. See everyone at the next one.
