drumking, Watts Bar tailwaters, White, SM, LM, Spots, and Rockfish, 09/24/15, Dr Phillip Gawthrop
#1
Dr Phil and I hit the tailwaters of Watts Bar dam this AM before the sun got up and got into fish right away. I started us off with a nice Rockfish, then we both began catching white bass, smallmouth bass (2), largemouth bass (1), spotted bass (1), skip jacks (3), and had a big Rockfish break our 17 lb test leader after a 3-5 minute fight. Don't know why the line broke. First time for that.

All together, we caught 6 Rockfish, and about 40 white bass to go along with the other species listed above. We kept 14 big white bass and 4 Rockfish for the dinner table. Doesn't get any better eating fish than these. Cleaned properly of course. If they aren't cleaned correctly, they are too strong for most people. I caught my PB white bass today, a 17.25 inch fish well over 2 lbs. I'm sorry that we didn't weigh it now.

We fished with Foley Spoons and if you want to buy some, please contact Spurhunter. He has many that he needs to sell. emoBigSmile emoGeezer

Well, I'm gonna have to resize these pics before I can post them. Sorry about that. Be back in a few.
