Jmax, Chick, bass, CBA, 10th place, 6/27/15, Derek
#1
Had a great day of trash fishing for green fish. It may sound like there was a ton of fish caught when you hear the top two places were 33.17 and about 30 for second. They were the exceptions. It dropped quickly from there. 12 places were paid and I believe 12th was 18 something. A lot of good anglers struggled today. Derek and I seem to thrive on these days. While others have a tough time getting a limit we caught a bunch on a lot of ways. Cranks, shakeys, t-rigs, jigs, top water, swims just to mention a couple. From about 8 foot to 25 foot we boated around 40 bass or so with most being keepers. Our issue was to save our life we could not get a kicker today. emoScratch We ended up weighing in five right at four lbs each for 20.06 and taking 10th place. Had four large mouth and one smallie all right at or near the 4 lb mark. We had another decent limit or two we culled with the next best five going about 16 to 17 lbs. emoThumbsup Quantity was not our issue, I cannot talk about the big one that got away because we never had a big one on.

Out of the four we weighed in, one was on a jig and the other four were on deep cranks. Most of our bass came from deeper water in the 16 to 25 foot depths. Started shallow and boated three keepers with the best around 3 and a half. we culled all of those before 11:00. Mainly looking for drops and ledges with bait in the area. Congrats to Jayme and Adam on a great win. emoThumbsup Jmax
