Launched from the south marina at about 7:30am. Set up the trolling poles before we hit the red and green buoys. I am glad we did! Picked up a smb right after passing them. Headed towards the light pole and got our first walleye shortly after the smb. Then the big one! Just shy of 10 pounds!!! Pics below
the boy really wanted to keep him but I told him he still needs to grow some more. Hooked up with another walleye. Then as I was switching over to the "wiper lures" a football sized wiper decided it wanted in on the action and latched on to the "walleye lure". I got to feel that hook up! I will never get tired of the fight wipers put up. Once we switched over the fish went along and we caught 6 cookie cutter wipers. All were sent back to grow bigger for next year. It was time to call it a morning and we were off the water by 11am. Overall a great morning with the boy and my dad.
