BassERT, Chick and Nick, Crappie, Mostly, 6-3~5-13, BR549

<br /> I have been fishing most every day lately and since I am old, I cannot remember any details.<br /> With that being said,<br /> I went to the Chick on Mon and beat on some docks and famous secret deep water structure. Caught many crappie and the occasional BG and TGF.<br /> I was dragging deep for the best sized fish and used devil's grin mostly. My countdown was 10 to 15 at some spots, but the large ones were deep.<br /> I caught a nice white at 14 1/2 and then one around 11. My next 2 casts were my highlight of the day. First a 14 1/2 black and on the next cast a 14 3/4 black.<br /> My first back to back TARPs! Yea emoParty <br /> I quit as usual around 11.<br /> <br /> After this good day, I decided to try to get one of my most fav people out to whack some crappies with me.<br /> We haven't fished together for about 10 years. <br /><br /> He lives nearer to Nick so that was where we went.<br /> Thought I couldn't have had a worse and disappointing day!<br /> By 8:30 we had one in the box, and all my secret spots were in quarrantine for LOCK-JAW!<br /> I was ready to tuck tail, but I remembered what YB had told me of a tip to try and we went there and ...redemption! emoWorthy <br /> We ended up with screamers at 15 count everywhere we went.<br /> Whew, I got a "Good Trip" from my friend, BR.<br /> We kept 24 fish mostly crappie and we caught just a few TBs.<br /> <br /> Today, I went north and encountered a deluge of a downpour and had to hide the front of the boat in a slip for 45 minutes.<br /> I then headed out with my waterproof windbreaker and decided to call it quits. Well the further south I went the better the WX became so I hit some old haunts and tried a new big crappie site that lived up to expectations.<br /> Again, Mo-Glo elec chicken at 15 was all you had to do.<br /> Just quit counting at 15 and set the hook was the easy method today.<br /> Very fun! I finished with 72 today all released.<br /> I started noticing sore mouth fish re-growing lips and such and I felt bad for a second emoRolleyes <br /> Just a second and back to fishing and having fun emoDance <br /> I hope everyone has a fun fishing time like I had. emoAngler <br /> <br /> emoCool
