Mantua, Pineview, or Strawberry Saturday 1/19

Taking a Buddy of mine from work, he wants to try his hand at Ice Fishing. Anyone is welcome to come most likely heading to the ladders.

we went to strawberry sunday 1/13 caution very cold we got there at 730 am and it was -30 my big mr. buddy heater didnt want to start and my auger gave me problems trying to start but on the brighter side we iced 7 cutts and 1 bow the fish were hitting very lite use caution with new guys on the ice its better to get skunked and happy then skunked and cold good luck happy fishin

We went to the Ladders last Sunday. Didnt do well at all. The cold gave us fits with the heaters. Saw very few fish. Talked to the others that went straight out from the Ladders and they had the same bad luck. The ice looked pretty tore up and like many other fisherman have been there. Might do better by parking there at the Ladders and walking East to the clif area. Hard to get to but fished by fewer people.

hmmm sounds like strawberry is slow and getting slower, with the cold, maybe I will stay up here and go to pineview or mantua.

If you want him to have a good first ice trip, take him to Pineview. The Perch are small but plentiful.
You should have fast action at Cemetery point.
Easy access and the parking lot is plowed.
