Sooooo close, just not close enough. Today was a very good day for us as far as the whole day went. No broken rods, everything worked, no one fell in, no super glue mishaps, no rods went overboard or no one busted their chin against my seat today. We had a very nice limit and thought we might get a check. Often this time of year it does not take a whole lot to get one. Our best five today went 16.56 lbs. There were ten places paid and it took 16.59 lbs to get a check. emoBang Yep, missed a check by only .03 of a pound. Came in 11th to be first out of the money. Still we had a nice day considering the rain, wind and waves. We were able to cull a couple times and never lost any big fish we know of. Our bass today came on cranks, spook, shakey and t-rigged worms. We just could not find a kicker today. We had two that weighed right at 3 lbs and our best of the five was 3/11. All of our keepers that we weighed in came from deep grass edges. We mainly stayed with the boat in 9 to 15 feet, casting up to grass edges that were in 6 to 9 feet. Rogie Brown and his dad Allen won today with 21 something. Most of the anglers struggles but as always some of this group will find some.

We can't really complain, we moved up in points and will end our regular year high in the standings. emoAngel Jmax
