Well, I hadn't taken my boat out for almost 2 months, longest time ever, I guess. Bad back kept me from it. Got on the water about 10:30 yestd. to run the boat and try for a few crappie. I fished off-shore dropoffs and docks mostly with BG shads of all kinds of colors. Got on a school of crappie on a 15-35ft. dropoff, but most were small and they were very deep. Fished a few 15ft. deep docks and caught a few under them. All in all, I probably caught 25 or so crappie and a small LM and spot. I had 7 or 8 keepers, but only 3 over 11 in., my take-home size limit. One of these was a 14 in. TARP crappie caught under a dock with a lure Drumking gave me some time ago, don't know the name of the lure or its ID color (see pic). Thanks, DK! Hooked another TARP crappie jigging a spoon on deep off-shore structure, but she flopped off right at the boat. The surface temp was 80-81 and the flow was 26K cfs.
