Stayed at Hale's Bar Marina over the weekend to take advantage of the winter rate. Set out around five on Friday but didn't stray too far from the marina. Picked up two carolina rigging a break in about 15 feet, the best at maybe 14". It was downhill after that. Fished the Marina that night with a black buzzbait/worm with no takers. Didn't get in any hurry Saturday morning and didn't stray far, but came up empty. Saturday night same routine to no avial. Ran upriver Sunday late morning to Mullins Cove and threw my arm out with everything. Nothing. Talked to some folks at the boat ramp that had made a chatterbait work for them. I threw a carolina-rigged worm, shallow running cranks and spinners during the day. I tried deep and I tried shallow while targeting grass. The bait is everywhere, but no bass for me to find. Nickajack kicked my butt. Congratulations Crod. Those are some nice looking fish.
