Not yet! We tried getting out to the rockpile pile yesterday morning (Sunday) and we turned back when the ice got less than 2.0". We still had about 200 yards to go before getting there. Ended up on the east side. The warm weather yesterday took its toll on the ice. From the top of Logan Summit you could plainly see the break line of the thicker ice on the south end of lake and the newer, thinner ice. The south end is still fishable with 4-6" of ice.

How did you do fishing? I fished both Fri and Sat. and we caught some nice fish each day. Not stellar, but everyone had 2-3 fish and missed some other bites.

2" of ice? A man of your stature, I would have thought you would have fell through!

If I wouldn't of been lacking the brains for being out there in the first place, I'd of probably fell through from the added weight.
Scott, the fishing was pretty uneventful. We were off first point just north of the ramp. A few small cutts were caught. The snowmobile ride on Logan Summit was a heck of a lot more fun. We stopped on our way home and decide to run the machines for a while. We rode to the top and got a spectacular view of the frozen lake. You could see the definite line of ice that seperated the old ice on the south and the new THIN ice to the north. The snow conditions and weather were great for sledding. The snowmobile ride also reaffirmed to me that my sled riding abilities are right on par with my fishing skills. They both suck! LOL!

I dont feel so bad now about turning down the invitation to go with you guys. Even with my shoulder still in a sling for a few more weeks. Hopefully your next trip is more rewarding as far as fishing for you.
