any tips on Ohio creek fishing? (huntington WV area)

i will be in proctorville Ohio this weekend and will be doing some fishin in a creek by my father in laws house. i will be using a lite micro spinning combo. are there any tips on what lures to use? or what type of fish can i expect to catch?

I am not real fimiliar with that spicific creek, but I do know most of them have cats in them.

You might want to ask your father if the creek is muddy or clear water. This will indicate if the creek is laidened with cats and carp or bass and eyes...

there are a couple guys that check in on the Ohio board from time to time who might have a better insite for your creek.

for the most part yes that would be a safe assumption. Clear water would mean that some where down river there was some kind of blockage that the carp and cats were not able to make past.

the farm cannals in ohio are known for thier cats and carp.. and if it is muddy you have a great chance of batteling a huge bugle mouth.

That's for sure. I live on southwest Ohio and my buddies are all the time pulling out big catfish
