Pretty hot ice jig. Usually very small about size 8-12, small piece of rubber on the shank of the hook with a small leadhead...available in endless color combos and glow-in-the-dark. because they're so light weight they work best with very light icefishing line like 2lb or with a heavy attractor above.

My favorites are glow pink and glow lime. Tip with wax worm or a little bit of night crawler for best results. [signature]

Overpriced, yes. Jammin Jigs makes a nearly identical lure called a Slim Rat, and they're about 1/2 the price so that's what I use. Sportsman's has a bunch of those plastic drawer things full of the Jammin Jigs offerings but they've been sold out of the good colors for a long time. I order mine right from the manufacturer's website, 45 cents each plus $2.50 shipping. I really like the glow white, pink, and lime/chartreuse whatever it is. I fish them 12-15" below a kastmaster or swedish pimple and tip them with a wax worm most often. Very effective.

I really like that jammin jigs site and as far as the panfish go the slim rats seem to work just as good.
