Fishing right now
#1
The kings have moved back in closer to shore. It's a crap shoot on some days, and then a major hunting expedition on others. You've just got to get out there put the time in.

The trout are very thick along the beaches, and if you know the spots between garden city and Myrtle, you can really put a spanking on them.

Unfortunately, it seems the spots are beginning their fall run. Boat ramps beware of the "once a year" boaters going to fill their five gallon buckets with trash fish. [sly]

LOL, it's no surprise you haven't heard any reports. This time of year, the fishing is good, and the locals don't want to spill the beans. Head to the shell banks with some live shrimp. You'll do just fine.

Yea, there is usually a crowd there, so I hardly ever fish it. Heard alot about catching trout there. I like to fish jetties and north inlet if i am in that area. But for the most part i enjoy north and south santee never a crowd and plenty of fish... once you find them. Going to try my hand in shrimping in the morning.

It's only going to get better T bone. This cold front coming in this week should really get them active. I hope to get out this weekend, as the trip we had planned for this past Sunday fell through due to weather condition. I guess it was really sporty out there.

I'm looking foward to giving the trout a spanking in the VERY near future. I want to get it done while the mullet and shrimp are easy to cast net. I'm not a big fan of tossing lures, as I never have much luck with them for trout. [pirate]

The kings are doing very good right now, when you can get out there, and if you know what to look for. They are stacked in tight schools, and just trolling blind doesn't do much. But, if you get behind them, you'll smoke their azz.

The offshore bottom fishing is only getting better too. You know, they changed the regs for that too. Only three grouper per boat, and only one combined with that of a half dozen or so species. You can only keep 5 Vermilion Snapper too, and there's a closed season coming up. Just happens to be the best time of year to fish for them, and they decide to close the season. A- Holes........

The fishing is only going to get better through November dude, you should be just fine. Let me know when you're coming in, maybe we can wet a hook together or something.

I have my day's set for the end of Oct. The last 10 days. I went out to troll a little for some stripers yesterday but only had one hit and no signs for 4 hours so called it a day early. The water at 75 degree just ant cold enough yet. I need some meat so I'm hopping to have a good trip. Would like to hook up with you so you could teach me a little about deep fishing. Only been out few times and I was not really into it at that time in my life. Young, dum, and full of _ _ _ . I use to have your cell number and not sure if you changed or not but will try when I get down and see what happens. [pirate]
