Hi All!
Looks like a cool site! I'm a guide and restorer of vintage canoes in Northern Wisconsin. Looks like a great site for lots of different resources. Look forward to posting fishing reports, etc.
Hunting season is over and I made it on to the ice yesterday.....barely. My first step off of a marshy shoreline plunged knee deep into some primal ooze that had not frozen. Cut my ice time down, for sure. 6+ inches of ice on the lake. I chalked it up as a "practice run"!
Best fishes to you all!

Hi there canoes9 & welcome to the BFT. Find it interesting that you restore old canoes. As a kid a few of my friends had canvas canoes and them one year Knut shows up on the lake with an aluminum canoe. Wow we wondered what would be next. Well next came a square back canoe. Guess a lot has changed over the years in that industry. BTW here is a link to the Kayak_Canoe forum.
