A buddy and I were sitting around drinking......adult beverages last night talking about going somewhere in the morning (today), but it had to be close since I have weekend duty standby so we decided to motor up to Mantua. Were on the water by 7:00 and Tommy boated his first LMB, just a little guy, it took me another hour before I finally boated one. Long story short we got 5 for the day, honors went to Tommy for size (18") and most (3)!!! Water temps climbed up to 64.5 last time I looked. Forgot the camera's this trip, nothing to brag about anyway.

We seen a lot of people catching them with a variety of "items" from tube jigs, cutter bugs, spinners and we used a variety of Rapala's from double-jointed #5's to Shallow Swimmer (Bluegill flavor) to a regular stick bait Rapala with a little tail on the back treble!!! We did see a lot of bigun's swimmin' around but no takers!!!!

Yeah, we packed it in at 12:00 since I promised the "Off-Base Commander" that I would go to her friends B-Day party, so it was a good trade off. There were quite a few "tooners" out there when we left, I was looking for you actually, I tried going by every toon to see if you were one of them, so we probably just missed eachother. Anyhow, good on ya with the catches.
