Each year the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey celebrates and recognizes New Jersey's outstanding women in the wildlife sciences.
Nominations for the 2008 Women & Wildlife Awards are open. Two awards will be presented: one for Leadership, another for Inspiration. Winners will be honored for their achievements, for the advances they have made for women in their professions and for their contributions to New Jersey's wildlife.
This year the New Jersey residency requirement has been eliminated and nominations are open to all female science professionals whose work has direct impact on New Jersey's wildlife. Winners will be selected by a jury of science and wildlife professionals.
The Nomination Form is available on our website www.ConserveWildlifeNJ.org/ . All nominations must be postmarked, faxed or e-mailed by 5:00 p.m. on January 25, 2008. For questions, contact Patricia Shapella at 609-292-3707<br />
or e-mail: Patricia.Shapella@ConserveWildlifeNJ.org
We encourage you to take this opportunity to nominate a valued friend or colleague who has distinguished herself in the service of New Jersey's wildlife and deserves to be recognized. Winners will be honored during the Women & Wildlife Awards reception on March 29, 2008 at the historic Prallsville Mills in Stockton, New Jersey. An art and photography show featuring New Jersey's diverse wildlife will complement this fund-raising event.
The Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ is a nonprofit organization that protects New Jersey's endangered and threatened species and their vanishing habitat through biological research, wildlife conservation and restoration, public education and community outreach.
