I hit a nearby high country lake on Monday, prior to the storm that came in that afternoon. I absolutely love fall fishing in the high country. Except for the 3 pals (deer)in the first picture, I had the lake to myself for much of the day. The conditions were actually pretty nice wind wise, the scenery spectacular, and the fishing was incredibly fast for small to medium sized bows and brookies. Just a reminder to throw in the fishing rod when heading out on a fall hunt or to give these spots a try for some of the best fishing they will offer all year.

Fall is absolutely the best time to wet a line. Let the hunters roam the hills and give me the lakes and streams lol
Great pics!

The first pic tells me where its at. Haven't been there in almost ayear. Now seeing it quiet and peaceful will have to make the short trip.
But Mr. Doggone will have to tell ya if he wants too.
