I thought some of you would be interested in this.
Last night I went to an Idaho F&G meeting about regulation changes for 2008. It sounds like the Idaho F&G have been talking with the Utah DWR and both agree to recognizing a two pole permit from either state lake wide. It won't happen any sooner than January 1st, 2008 and isn't a done deal yet. Sounds like a good idea, I hope this change takes place.

Thanks for the info Brian, I hope they finally make the rules the same on both sides of the state line, sure would make things a lot simpler.

I reported on this early this spring and it is the intention of both the UDWR and IDF&G to have recipricol regulations without any stamps at this time. The problem was that IDF&G only changes regulations once every two years, whereas UDWR does it annually. We (UDWR) knew there would be one year lag before IDF&G hopefully adopted the same regulations.....and after our spring coordination meeting they agreed to put the two-pole regulation into their 2008 regulations. UDWR will be going to the RAC's with a slight change in the regs for Bear Lake that states Utah will recognize not only and ID license (as it is now) but also and ID two-pole permit.

BearLakeFishGuy,
I read what you said a while ago. I just thought you guys would want to know what the Idaho F&G is telling the public.
