Hello to all BFT members. Has anyone got some feedback on the Marcum VS 350 underwater camera system? Are they any good? I'm hoping to buy a viewing system for ice fishing. thanks for any replies. ONO

I just got the 250 and really like it. Though I have only used it once.

Does the 250 Marcum do well in the depths? How far can you see with your unit? I heard the 250 didn't have the infared light and I wondered how well the 250 looked in the dark. I'm hoping to get out one more time on the ice and would like to use these Marcums underwater viewing system. I've seen the AquaView and like them too, but the Marcum is closer to my budget. Thanks for the reply.

Actually I am not sure because I have only used it once and that was at schofield where the deepest water we fished was only 35 feet deep. But I do Know that it dose have an infrared light.

Look at the "Advanced Anglers" camera at Cabella's. It is a private label copy of the Marcum. I almost bought the Marcum and did some looking around and found this one for about $40 less and have loved it. It does have infa-red or whatever that allows you to see perfectly clear in the dark. The only downside of these cameras(and I can't imagine it is just to this model) is that it is hard to keep the cable from twisting at deeper depths. 30-35 feet is no problem. Also, they sell a tri-pod for about $15. I would stronly recommend this; it gives you good control of the camera so it doesn't twist and turn while in the water. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the feedback. I went to Cabelas this past Friday and after comparing the Marcum to the Advanced angler I bought this unit from Cabelas. It will be fun trying it out on the ice. Looks like the weather is warming quickly so I may have to try it from a boat. Thanks guyus for the good feedback. Good fishing.
