Since I live in SoCal right now, I though the ocean regs were bad down here. The Big Salty up there is the Big Dissappointment as far as fishing regs go. Either way, if you get a multi day license, it is good in fresh and salt.

There are a few lakes in that area. They will mostly house Trout, Crappie, Bass, Sunfish and in the warmer months, Catfish.

You can try Lake Temescal in the immediate area. Just a little farther is San Pablo Reservoir.
San Pablo is good for Trophy Trout, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Sturgeon, Crappie, Bluegill and Catfish.

Here is a link that will help you as to which lake to choose from. There are other regional park lakes that are newer since I was in that area.[cool]

I don't know where my manners or my brain were last night but, Welcome to the BigFishTackle Message boards. Since you are planning to fish some Cali waters I would like to send you a BigFishTackle sticker for your car, boat or tacke box.

We have a Private Message feature on these boards that would allow you to send me your Name and address to mail those to you. No one else can see that info but me and I erase the personal info after I send you the stickers.[cool]
