Deer Creek report

Went to Deer creek this morning with my 91 year old father. Fishing was good. Caught most fish on popgear and a worm. Probably our last trip of the year. They were pulling out the curtesy docks as we were getting off of the water, Was also told the fish cleaning would be closing for the season this afternoon. Overall a great year of fishing.

congrats on the good outing and taking dad out is a  bonus!  My dad and I were divorced years ago and then he passed away recently, so I take my wonderful father in law with me quite a bit.  those are the best trips and he truly enjoys it.   My wife and I are headed to DC this weekend for the last boat trip of the year before it goes under wraps.  thanks for sharing your info!

Sorry for the late reply. Since our trip Dad has taken a turn for the worse. Hopefully that was just our last trip for the year and not our last trip ever. Tell the people in your lives that mean the most how much you love them!

Your question made me look at the calendar. We made it out 14 times this year beginning in May and ending in october. All trips to deer creek . Kind of nice when all of us are retired and we could avoid weekends

That's the problem as we age, we think we still have time left to do the things we love but it can come to a crashing end so quick that we all need to cherish our time with those we love because we just never know when it might be our last. Good for you getting out so many times this year with your Dad. My Dad lived in a different state, so we rarely got out fishing.
