Willard 6-5 Evening - South Cleaning Station Open
#1
The main thing I wanted to post is that the cleaning station at the south marina was open and working last night. I know many have lamented the late opening of the cleaning station but as of 8:00 last night, the south cleaning station was open and working. I pushed the button myself to hear the grinders working and see the water flow. Too bad I didn't bring my knife along because I assumed it was still closed based on recent reports.

As for the fishing, no complaints here. It was a beautiful evening and the fish cooperated. Ended up with 2 limits+ of decent walleye, 3 jumbo perch and 1 cat. Most came on worm harnesses but one eye took a flicker minnow. Turned out to be one of my best ever trips to Willard.

Great report, especially about the cleaning station being open because it wasn't open that morning when we were out there. We also caught our limits plus a bonus 21" wiper by 11 am.

It was jammed again this afternoon. Likely some big catfish heads.

Well that's a bummer, guess there are dumb people that go to the North and South marina.

The issue is getting out of hand. The sign is big but I think we need to lobby for a giant hanging sign with detailed instructions beyond "turn on disposal" We are dealing with modern Americans. It will require pictures because people do not read.

I still don't understand why a human would put a catfish carcass in a chute backwards. That takes a really special mind.
