Bear River 5/27

I fished the lower Bear today and caught a few in the rain. A 26", a 25" then a 29.5". I also had another great feeling one on for a couple of minutes and then just came unbuttoned. I thought maybe it had busted me off, but no, the hook and weight were still attached wnen I reeled in. I haven't had a fish break me yet this year and hope that streak continues. I ran into Ahi and spoke with him for a bit. Seems like we all are looking for bump fish.

All fish were caught on sucker today. I fished carp on one pole while sucker on the other and did not even have a bite on carp.

Thanks for the report. I have had similar results fishing sucker meat and carp meat. It causes me to avoid carp meat. But I probably shouldn't give up on it completely.
