Business Trip to the Boise River

Hi all. Looking for some help. Have three business trips in Boise with literally one day each trip with time to throw a line in the water. Laying over at the Courtyard right by the stadium and, having no car, thought I'd try the river. Flying in so just bringing a backpack spinning rod/reel. Suggestions on how best to fish the river right in town from the bank or should I also try to pack a pair of waders (although space is limited on the plane).

With a spinning reel not fly rod, suggestions on lures or bait? Thanks for your time, should be there on the 4th!

Best you could do is match the bikini hatch in the early-mid afternoon.

The river is high and fast right now. Local ponds and reservoirs might be better options.
