I can't help much on Rampart personally, but had a buddy go up and do pretty well with average bows a couple weeks ago. No word on techniques though. Sorry I can't offer more help. Let us know how you do []

Didn't actually end up making it out to Rampart until late this afternoon after the rain died down. It actually is only about 30-40 minutes from Colorado Springs and is a nice little Reservoir:

Fishing was a bit slow but we really weren't there all that long. Saw a big heard of elk on the dirt road coming in.

I think as close as it is I may have to just pick up a float tube and make it a regular stop. It's suppose to have some lakers but we were chasing the rainbows.

Thank you, I am planning on spending a day there again this weekend and should get a better feel for things, that trip was just too short.

I don't ever go on this board. I know a couple tricks there. My screen name is the same. I have a few paddle canoes if you like to test some out. Last time I went I got kicked out because it was closed from the gubmint.
