First Time to Strawberry
#1
Hey guys, first post here. Me and my dad will be heading up to Strawberry for the first time and looking for the best way to catch some fish. He likes to troll so I assume thats what we will be doing. Hopefully thats a good way to catch them up there.

Understand if you don't want to give up your secrets but any help would be really useful.

Fish are constantly moving. What was a favorite spot one day is dead the next. Trolling is a good start. Try Ladders, Mudd bay. Bryants Fork. When you get a few stay in the general area.

Great info thanks. Is it best to just pull a pop gear and worm or pop gear and something else?

Luckycraft Pointers, swimbaits, tube jig tipped with chub meat verticle kills this time of year.

With cooling temps the big cutts will start cruising the shorelines searching for food! Great time of year from now til ice up to toss tube jigs as well as working minnow baits like luckycraft pointers and rapala xraps

I normally like to hit da berry when the deer hunt starts til ice up as the fishing action can be fast and furious!

hope this helps

I was there yesterday. The big cutts and rainbows are already shallow and feeding like mad.

The magic lure was a white tube jig tossed to shore and retrieved back to the boat slowly like a swimbait.

Strawberry is on fire!

Thanks for all the tips. Went up on Saturday and caught about 10 fish between the two of us. Would have caught more but got blown off the lake.

We did about the same as you did. Went up on Saturday until we were blown away. Caught fish steadily but not as well as a week ago. White or crawfish tubes were best.
