6 Sturgeon in one day

I got 6 sturgeon on Friday with my Steelheader.com pontoon. one was over 6 foot, four were in the 3 to 4 foot range, and a 5 footer that was just plain strong.
The 6+ foot fish was caught on my trout pole. It was a prety good fight for that little pole. When I got him upside down and on my lap the thing goes compleatly nuts and tries to break my rod and sink my boat. He got lucky and got away, I got lucky and nothing was damaged. Having a 100+ pound fish come apart at the seams on your lap is an experience. BTW I have video. Ron

Any time!
All you need is a 10/0 fly that will soak up trout oil, and I have some. Oh and a LOT of backing[fishon]

Great video.

It reminds me of a local outdoor show that was doing a show on the jet boats that run in Hells Cayon. They had a huge ol sturgeon so the guide jumped in the river to get it unhooked. As they were releasing it gave a tail slap about like your and hit the guide right up side of the noggin.

You could tell that he was seeing stars but kept his composure for the camera.
