We will be going to LAke powell in Mid april or maybe 3rd week in April ... any help about fishing for crappie ... I would appriciate it!

Welcome to the site. I have always caught the crappie there on white plastic jigs.

try grubs small swim baits and/or live bait

You may want to be cautious using live bait on Lake Powell. It is not legal. grubs and swim baits work just fine and as a bonus will catch other species of fish also
