My ODC 420 arrived yesterday! I can't wait to get it out on the water. Hopefully, the weather will be nice this weekend so I can at least take it for a "test drive". I plan on taking the advice given to me in another post and take the tube out with no gear first, so I can get a feel for how it handles. I am way too excited about this with almost two full work days left before the weekend.

Just to add on to my previous post, I took my tube out for the first time yesterday, and it was a blast! It took me a while to figure out how to control the tube and move myself in the direction I wanted to go, but after a short learning period, I was motoring like a champ. I definitely would like to "pimp" my tube out with a couple of rod holders. I'm going to research some of TubeDude's ideas, and come up with something fairly soon. Now, all I need to do is learn how to catch fish out of it.

Can't wait to see your ideas for your tube. I have one round tube left to pimp that my nephew uses.

Congratulations on your first trip out. You will find the more you use your tube the more you find yourself just going where you want without even thinking about it.

The 420 I got had some cheapie bladders compared to what I normally get with pontoons. Looks like they are made of air matress type material, instead of PVC or urethane. Is this the same for previous 420 models that were not on "clearance" is the question? Other than that, the quality of the shell was excellent, and was a excellent buy.
