I recently moved to Mexico to be able to fish my favorite
big bass lake, Lake Oviachic just outside the city of Obregon.
If anyone ever wants to fish in Mexico. just ask and I can help.

I have been lucky enough to fish both days the past two
weekends, and it has been very good. I have been averaging
25 fish a day.

No ice for sure. Sunday it felt hot.
Probably 85 at the peak of the day.

I knew it would be warmer down there but wow, that is warm. I think the high up here last week was 27 degrees, we are in the 30's this week and it seems like a heat wave.
It seems like a big step to move to mexico, do you live there year round?

Yes, I now live here full time. Left Phoenix 4 months ago.
I'm in the process of starting up a business here, but the
real reason to be here is to spend more time fishing these
great lakes. If things go well, I'll build myself a house on this
lake.

I grew up in Pennsylvania, so I remember those cold
winters. Don't miss them either.

It is good sized. I wish I had caught it and they were all that
size...but of course they are not. I did catch 5 over 4 pounds
this past weekend though.
