First off I wanted to say that this was a great tournament and I can't wait to fish more of them. Me and my dad, sdfd29, fished this one together and we didn't have a bad day, but we have had better. We started off running upriver after the fog delay to a spot near soddy creek that has produced for us in the past. Got to the first spot and found out the water temp had dropped to 54 degrees with the cold nights we have had. emoBang Fished around that spot for 30-45 mins and we couldn't find a keeper fish in there. Decided to run back down river a bit to another spot that has produced for us and we caught several fish, but they all had the same problem, they were anywhere from 14 to 14 3/4" long. What made it worse was several of the fish were close to two pounds but they were just too short. emoBang We ran to several other spots in the area and finally after the sun popped out the water started to warm up to around 59-62 degrees. I caught the first and last keeper of the day on a rattle trap that weighed I think 5lb 3oz in about 3 foot of water. All the fish we caught were in the mid lake area around soddy creek and they were all caught on rattle traps. In the end we didn't have a bad day considering this was the first time either one of us have fished on Chickamauga in months. I had fun talking to everybody during the weigh in and hopefully next time we will be able to get a limit.
