I use lighter colors in murky water such as white or fire tiger. For clear water i use more natural colors such as shad or off greens or blues. For night fishing I use black or very dark colors to symbolize a silhouette off a bait fish or anything that would satisfy the fish as a meal. Also fish cant tell the lure is fake because they cant see as much detail in the dark but its good enough for the fish to grab.

I like black or solid dark colors in murky water. I'm all about having a clear and dark outline or silhouette of my lure. For hard baits in murky water, I go with silver for reflection and as much rattle as possible.

If the water is stained but not cloudy, I go with light and bright stuff. If the water is clear and clean, I use the color of the thing I am imitating. Check out the color of the crawfish or throw something in a bluegill or baby bass color. For worms, I go with pumpkin or brown. [signature]
