I can't get circle hooks in my area (Vietnam) but would like to try them out. Has anyone tried making a circle hook by bending the point of the hook inwards?

Since the hooks are generally hardened, you would need to use a torch to accomplish this.

You will also need a nice bucket of oil to quench the hot hook in so that it doesn't become un-annealed.[cool] [signature]

Thanks for the reply. Seems to work with a lighter and smaller hook. Can't wait to try it out this weekend!
