Access to the Jordan river?

I just started working down in Murray/Taylorsville area, I cross the Jordan everyday on 4500 south. Living all the way in Ogden, I figure fishing would be a good way to avoid the traffic build up on the I-15. So I was wondering if anyone knows of some spots in this area, doesn't need to be on the Jordan, but that is the only thing I am aware of close by.

Turn south at the Lowes, continue until the 48th South, turn west until you get to the River. There is parking on both the north and south sides. This gives access to the Jordan River Parkway. You can access the river from it.
The parkway extends north and south and runs for the most part along the river. Head south. After a few tries, you'll find some places. There are lots of them. Some to the North too.
