Final Willard Tournament thread!
#1
This will be the last thread before the tourney.
All spots are currently filled but may change before tomorrow.
There are 49 people competing for $500 cash and over $1500 in raffle prizes open to everyone who attends the bbq. There will be numerous kids games for prizes. Please bring your kids if possible. My wife and mother took over that part of it and are both very excited to be a part of it.

I have got the following items for the bbq:
1. 160 hamburger patties and buns,
2. 32 hot dogs and buns
3. a large bag of onions for dogs and burgers and for grilling.
4. 150 bottles of water
5. 40 bottles of IBC rootbeer We shouldn't need any cups.
6. 250 plates
7. 2 rolls of paper towels
8. Seasonings for the burgers and fish
9. 1 gallon of Canola oil to cook fish
10. a 2 burner coleman stove to cook onions and heat other dishes.

I need 1 or 2 people to take pictures of the event to post on a gallery set up by Theangler after the tourney is over.

We will need atleast 2 more tables for prizes, registration, fish measuring, and whatever else is needed.

Silverware is covered.

We will need about 10 to 15 bags of crushed ice for the drink pool. Troutslayer is going to bring that pool.

We need 2 more fish measuring boards. I have 1.

We need 3 or so people to help with filleting the fish and/or cooking them. Also some clean water to clean the fillets.

We need a couple volunteers to help with launching and loading boats to make it quicker.

BBQ grills are covered. If anyone has a propane tank to use it will be helpful.

We need more soda type drinks.

We have a few people bringing baked beans, potato chips, and some other sides. If anyone wants to bring more sides or some type of desert it would be great.

Plastic trash bags are covered.

I ended up paying $167 out of pocket to get all the bbq items i bought. If someone would like to donate some cash to help cover that cost i would be very thankful.

You might consider bringing some lawn chairs for seating as i have no idea how many people will actually attend.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All persons fishing for the prize money MUST register before launching your boats or heading to the water. Anyone who has not registered by 8:30 will be disqualified and someone can take your place.

Everyone who plans on attending the bbq needs to fill out a raffle ticket with your BFT name, if you are fishing the tourney or just attending the bbq, and if you have children(name, age, and male or female). Fill out a different ticket for each kid.

You may begin fishing at 8 am sharp. You must have your fish at the judging table(just north and west of the ramp under the trees) by 2 pm. atleast 1 person from your boat must be there and the driver has until 2:45 to be at the judging table. After all fish are measured and documented, get your pics taken and at 3:15 we will announce the winners and award the cash prizes and start with the raffle drawings. After all prizes have been distributed the bbq will start. After about 10 am, the kids games will be going and they can enjoy those.

If we do not have everything we need for the bbq by 11 am, i will leave to get what we still need.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out and has donated to the contest.
Lets all have a good time and good luck to everyone.

I also have those items for the prizes/raffle!!! I will dig around in the wifes purse after she "zonks" out tonight and see if I can rustle up some cash[Wink]!!! If I dont I will get you back in the future, sound good!!! I will try and remember to stop at the gas station and pick up a bag of ice and maybe a 12-pack of soda too!!! Again, you have done an AWESOME job coordinating this and I cant wait, probably wont be able to sleep!!! See you in the morning!!! Oh yeah, is the pavilion within walking distance of the boat parking lot? Can I drive by the pavilion with my boat and drop off all the items in the morning or isnt there enough room?

Thanks.
The pavilion is only like 300 yards from the ramp and you can drive a boat right past it.[Wink]

I went ahead, took a deep breath and went in for a Black Ops Recon mission on the wifes purse while she was distracted putting the future baby's room together!!! Lets just say you cannot get away with anything!!! Man these women sure have some weird senses when they get pregnant, maybe I am getting old (B-Day on the 18th)!!! She went ahead and gave me a $20 bill after explaining to her what it was intended for!!! So I went ahead and got a 12 pack of Countrytime Strawberry Lemonade and a bag of ice. Had to pick her up some peanut M & M's (what is with these cravings???[laugh]) and a gallon of milk, so Brody, you get my change a whopping $7!!! Hope it helps a little!!! Also, I took a filled a couple Wal-Mart sacks full of ice from the fridge in the house so we can use that too!!!
