Greetings from Scotland!
I'm currently researching and collecting poetry from all the fishing forums, globally, so far I have had a fantastic response from the USA, Scotland, Australia etc, I'm hoping you folks can be of help also.
The aim is to collate the best poetry for print, with permission of course, to demonstrate the universal appeal of fishing. (please state whether you would allow your poem to go into print whilst submitting)
The poems can be on any aspect or type of fishing, your favourite fish or why Canada is the best for fishing etc just go with the flow.
Hope you folks can be of assistance, many thanks and CHEERS!!!
Here are a couple of Haiku's I wrote to get you in the mood; the first written at Loch Freuchie, the second at Loch Ness.
Tied fly winters eve.
Casting out for summer trout.
Strike, fight, reel, sizzle.
Faithful optimist:
Teardrop dry fly caressed
Twenty four mile loch.
