I'll be stuck in Logan for the next week or two for work. Since Mantua is less than 30 minutes away I plan of getting in some quality time on the water. Tubes and jigs seem to be filling my tackle box lately. Any special color or rigging? I plan on catching perch first as they always seem to make fishing better werever they are found. Thanks for the help guys.

I fished there on monday and I seemed to find more perch in shallow (less than 6') on top of the weed beds, I didn't catch any gills until I got out over deeper water. I was fishing the south end and the drop off was very steep. I am no Mantua expert, but color didn't seem to make a difference.

I've only fished it once, two weeks ago. It was a no brainer.
I was throwing small Betts Beetle spins with a green tail and slaming the Bass, Bluegill and Perch. My 6yr old was throwing a slip bobber rig with a small piece of worm on a green jig.
You can get worms right at the campground store near the launch.
