Finally dug my tying stuff out of moving boxes, ordered some new material and got on some baitfish patterns. So used to tying nymphs that it is a blessing tying some big stuff. Starting with some mullet patterns. Now to see if they hunt. I think I’ll get the skiff out after Christmas and chase down some redfish on the flats.

Nice! That's a good looking fly. That'll fish for sure! Wish I was chasing some reds for Christmas! Good luck!

Shrimp patterns too. Redfish live shrimp in the grass, so do trout and winter is trout time.

Yeah, those are hard for me to tie, along with crabs. I have a pretty good supply of fly shop ones though (for now). I gotta get my girls out fishing and I’ll throw some live shrimp under a cork for them on their spinning rods.

Puglisi minnows are great. Check out the "low fat minnow" on Flyfishfood too. Tarpon love 'em. I still enjoy tying on size 1 and 1/0 hooks!
