I am the proud holder of a shiny new Multi Season Bear Tag on the San Juan unit in SE Utah!!! After 16 long years, i finally get to try and take a bear. Since its the multi season tag, i can almost hunt from the end of March through the 14th of November. Can't wait to get cameras hung and start scouting bait locations. While my permit allows me to use dogs this spiring and again in the fall, i am hoping to take one with my bow over bait. I walked up on this bear in 2013 while muzzy deer hunting. He was feeding on a dead elk and i got within 40 yards of him. Hope the picture works.  2015 hyundai genesis coupe 3.8 r spec 0 60 ![[Image: DSC01688.jpg]](https://i.ibb.co/MfxgMHd/DSC01688.jpg)

That is a great bear. I'm glad that all this pandemic crap didn't mess up your hunt.

We baited for seven weeks and hauled almost a ton of bait into my site. I ended up taking my bear during the fall hound hunt. The bear treed about 3/4 of a mile up a side canyon and was almost to 10000 feet on the mnt. Sure had fun. Happy to have him. Excited for the mount in our home.

Wow, you did have to work for that bear, did you not see any good bears while baiting? Are you doing a full body mount or just the head?

Full body mount. Thankfully my taxidermist likes beef so we are doing a trade. I had 2 monster bears on my bait. But they knew my work schedule and only hit the bait while I was home. I passed a bunch of bears hoping for one of the big boars. The trail cam pics are amazing

Would love to see some of those tail cam pic, if you are willing to post them, especially the two monster bears you were talking about.

Yep, good looking bears, do you think they were bigger than the one you shot? That full body mount should look good, please post a pic of it when it is done, thanks.
