Kory was going to be in town for a few days, so of course, we had to get in a sturgeon trip. It was only a two-day trip, instead of our use three, but we still got it done.
It took Kory 5 minutes to hook his first sturgeon and in the first hour he had caught three sturgeon and missed a couple other bites! In the meantime, Randy and I were patiently waiting for our first bites. With such a fast and furious start we figured it was going to be a record trip, but it was not to be.
Final count was 11 sturgeon with four of them being over 7 feet long. Kory caught his two largest sturgeon ever, at 7'9" and 7'10". The weather was a tad cool in the mornings but with zero wind, on both days, (an extremely rare happening when one is fishing next to several wind farms) we couldn't have asked for better conditions.
It was great to get out with Kory again, after almost a two-year break, and, as always, a pleasure to fish with Randy again.
