So my family and I went to Provo boat harbor Monday evening. Caught some white bass (bait) on a slip bobber and chartreuse and white marabou and a mepps spinner. Then the fun begun when tipping glow jigs with white bass and using a glow stick on a bobber then the old standby egg sinker and leader and octopus number 1 with white bass.

Looks like you all did fine. How many cats did you get and how big? Were you fishing right in the harbor or down the channel?

The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.

Sorry about the late reply. We caught our bait and cats in the harbor. But briefly talked to a gentleman in a boat who was out in the inlet of the Provo who was catching cats and walleye on salmon meat.

I've never heard of using salmon meat. Can anyone explain the details? Do you mean they are using the "fresh" salmon that you pay $14 a pound for at the grocery store? And I thought shrimp was expensive.

That night the mosquitoes were thirsty and they were slurping through the deer. I would imagine with the adverse weather they are tame but as soon as it dries out a tad and warms during the days they will be out in force. I am not in the cat contest. I would have to probably rep the North since I live north of I 80. Winter is still coming here in Summit county.
