Gary, I may be back in business.
I took Art duck hunting today and between flights I ran through my mind the whole hard steering issue of my Bearcat. I kept thinking there was no way the steering should be that hard. So after dinner I went to my garage and jacked up the front. I found the steering spindle zerks had the factory paint over the ball detents. I scraped off the paint, greased them up, and after wiggling them lock to lock a few minutes they are as smooth as silk. I went ahead and re-did the a-arm and shock bushings while I was in there.
Now I can easily turn the bars even while on the trailer and my trailer deck even has the anti-skid textured paint.
I've been out here almost 3 hours and am really wasted now so I will try to test it tomorrow and get back to you.
