I'm taking a trip up in mid-January for my first time, been trying to learn the lay of the land as well as I can ahead of time, but I'm still not that great of a fisherman, but I love to fish... I've went a little nutz buying gear and trying to get ready for the trip... I have a snowmobile I was planning on bringing up to help get me and the gear onto the ice, will be staying at Birch glen in Cascade, but was curious which areas to focus on for fishing (initial thought is Sugarloaf area) and how best to get there on a snowmobile... Do you ride sleds from your motel to the lake, or do you trailer your sleds up to parking lots along the lake and go from there? How does that work best? Looking on the map I'm pretty sure the scale of how big that lake is isn't setting in so I could use some pointers from you guys that know... Any tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated...
