Ice sled (my Smitty)

My other sled that I have strapped on top is almost impossible to pull through 8" of snow with all my gear. A Smitty reduces the area you pull to just the ski width so yes they should pull a bunch easier. They aren't really necessary until you get show or slush on the ice then they become very valuable. It also gives me more room for junk too, I can take a tent a power auger and all the rest of the gear in one trip with the Smitty. Not that you need all that, but you have it if you need it. Later J
