Pretty sure that was due to the fact that they have had bad winter kills the past couple years and it seems like if I recall correctly they stocked less the last two years. They most likely see that they have a gap in the future if they didn't up it this year. End of the day the month of ice fishing if anything is better for trophy fish. It drops the total fish numbers and gives fish lest competition for food and the ability to grow larger quicker.
