Larry, I was the tail end of that Vietnam generation (1974) and I witnessed first hand the disgusting treatment that troops were receiving as they got of the planes in San Francisco. It made me so 
. But I have also witnessed the 180 degree opposite treatment at many U.S. airports since Desert Storm and right up to the present day. It confirms my belief that most Americans, while not necessarily supporting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003, are supportive of the military that must deploy to those places, and many others. I am proud to have served during both ends of that spectrum. And thank every past and presently serving military member and their families for the sacrifices they willingly make.
