Thank you for sharing this story. The remaining members of the "greatest generation" are dying off at an alarming rate. I'd like to add a special thanks to my own Vietnam generation of vets. Too many came home to jeers and hostility instead of parades and celebrations. I once read that American service members are a unique breed. They've raised their right hand and have agreed to pay the ultimate sacrifice if needed. The only thing they've asked in return of our civilian leaders is to ensure the cause for which they died is a right and valid cause. Thanks vets for everything you've done for our country.
