I heard of an incident somewhere in the mid-west years ago about a lady driving off a bridge over a river in her VW bug. It sank to the bottom of this semi-shallow river.
River Rescue got out there and sent a diver in. I remember what the diver said because it was so funny.[sly]
" I went into water expecting this to be a recovery rather than a rescue after an hour. I got down to the bug in this murky water and see a women staring through the window and waving at me. I started to laugh and almost had to surface do to swallowig water " She was saved without injuries.[
