my schedule cleared up at the last minute so since I had already taken the day off work I decided to hit the lake. Started working the solid grass edge anywhere it came off a flat or hump and dropped off into a creek channel and it only took about 30 min before a 7lb toad hammered a crankbait. The bite was kind of slow all day though and finished up with a handful of shorts and only one other keeper about 3.5lbs, couldn't fill the limit. All fish came on cranks or swimbaits not a single bite on a worm or jig. Called it a day around 1 when the breeze died and it got HOT!! I lost count of how many schools of whites I saw go into the jumps and brim and shad were so thick in the grass I think the bass just had to many easy meals or they just shut down to wait out the heat of the day.
