I'm a sustainability consultant, so how we use water is very central to my professional work. These numbers are not unique, I've seen them from other sources enough that I believe them.
The
truth is that the Wasatch front is still growing and despite water efficiency regulations our water needs are going to grow too. In the end, the masses will get the priority and farmers and ranchers like yourself may end up
and dry. That's just the ugly reality that I see coming. Our food doesn't have to be grown locally (though it should), and people aren't going to stop showering because it puts you out of a job.
